The new release on LM, shines the spotlight on Markus Gibb, a radical universe that flirts with techno and industrial elements.
Markus Gibb likes to juxtapose techno, new wave and rock n roll. Having cut his teeth in classical music and in several rock bands, he makes the most of this background embarking alone in productions that reflect the perfect combination of influences: modern, powerful, and directly-inspired by the good side of the 80's; martial and mental techno music with drunken accidents that add imbalance and emotion.
Over-active in music and production, Markus is not a debutant and already has a dozen releases on labels as diverse as Clouded Vision, Frucht or Rock to the Beat.
"Crises" is a bomb that never explodes, a secret icy weapon that twists heads and moves the body: deep bass, sharp sounds and assassin beats.
"Charogne" takes its roots in the industrial music but gives a real techno treatment. A slow, jerky, techno juggernaut.
"Bali" is perhaps the most "alien" song, both melodramatic, narrative and wild. The vaporous loops and chanted voice plunge us into a kind of cosy psychedelic trance: a trip to the Indonesian jungle on hallucinogens.
"Bali [Broken English club remix]" - Oliver Ho, who we know well at KTDJ as we released his weird pop project THE EYES IN THE HEAT, revisits Markus with his side project : BROKEN ENGLISH CLUB(remember the emotion aroused by the EP « Violence & divinity » with Silent Servanton CITITRAX): a post-punk twisted noise with a large dose of raw energy.
